She glanced to Sullivan as she descended the staircase… There was nothing in the notes from Fink about this man either. It was clear that Elizabeth would need to conduct more research on this place and soon.

“Booker, are you alright?” Instead of taking his hand, she gestured to the bandages on his arm. “What’s happened to you?”

“Oh, that. Splicers,” he dismissed, lowering his arm and looking her dead in the eye. In return, she folded her arms and quirked a brow. There’s a reason that Booker had incurred so much debt in gambling…

He was his own bizarre kind of honest that didn’t lend itself to an unreadable expression. Even if it was true, that whatever splicers were did attack him, it wasn’t the full truth.

“Come on, just–” He heaved a sigh. “We’ve got to go, okay?”

Sullivan interrupted, barking. “Get going, you two!” He pointed sharply to the Bathysphere at the top of the stairs. “It’s best if you ain’t here when Ryan and Cohen have their little talk.”

“And Booker? Watch those headaches, will ya? You’re a good shot ’til that acts up.”
